I DINO my ABC's Yet

I love dinosaurs. I just had to make a design with a cute little dinosaur. Also, puns are always necessary.

Philosophy Behind the Project:

It has been fun to make cute little designs that parents would love to put their kids in. My thought process in the designing stage was, “What is this outfit telling this child that they should be?" I remember as a kid being put in clothes that said “Daddy’s Little Princess". Reality was, I despised princesses and being told I was a princess from a very young age. I wanted nothing to do with crowns; I wanted to be an astronaut.

So, instead of putting children in outfits that labels them and asks them to fit in a box, I wondered how designers could be intentional about what they are telling children to be and instead affirm attributes that they can grow and develop over time. How can we not tell little boys that they are “Little Rascals” and “Trouble”? I think there is a great opportunity in designing for young children to encourage them to be the wonderful little humans that they are and encouraging them to be the best “them” that they can be. We can let them be what they want to be and who they actually are rather than pointing out their flaws or telling them to fit into a mold. I hope that these designs are edifying.

I don't always get the registration right. :/
